I’m a freelance illustrator and comic artist living in Maryland. In my spare time, I bake gluten-free treats, play Dragon Age endlessly, or sing. Sometimes all at the same time. I love terrible movies and spend a lot of my free time watching them or watching shows about them (many an artwork was done by me with MST3k playing in the background)
I primarily work with watercolors, markers, and ink washes. I’ve been drawing since I was old enough to hold a jumbo crayon in my stubby fingers. After my obligatory period of drawing the sun with sunglasses, I became obsessed with late 90’s manga in middle school and dedicated myself to learning the “manga style.” While attending (and later graduating from) SCAD’s program of Sequential Art, my professors and peers opened my eyes to other comics from around the world and encouraged me to find my own way to art. I’m now upgrading my skills, going for another degree in web and application design, with an aim to work in video game development. My art heroes are: Becky Cloonan, Anno Moyoco, Phil Noto, CLAMP, Rumiko Takahashi, Mike Mignola, and Wylie Beckert.
